GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Responsible for financial reporting/publications and applying highly analytical, financial, and/or technical review while assisting in specifying methods, measures, and solutions to financial reporting requirements. In addition, will be responsible for administrative oversight over all division ERP modules. Provide in-depth analysis, recommendations, and alternatives to target issues and enhance the ERP system/modules to improve overall effectiveness. May exercise functional or technical supervision over assigned staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Analyze ERP processes and procedures and provide recommendations to improve performance and efficiency across division modules and interdependent modules. Review, maintain, and update documentation specifications and operating procedures for ERP systems. Analyze and adjust processes to increase operational efficiency or adapt to evolving business requirements. Plan and prepare technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals to document program development and changes. Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports/publications in accordance with regulatory standards such as General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and the Federal Transit Authority (FTA). Develop process improvements to enhance the efficiency of report writing and data management utilizing the ERP system. Manage the company’s financial reporting structure and master data, presenting operational models to support ongoing process improvements. Participate in monthly and quarterly closing meetings, contributing to the reporting processes. Provide accurate and high-quality analyses of new business applications, ensuring alignment with financial goals. Identify potential financial risks and opportunities, assisting in the development of reliable financial projections utilizing systems and software programs. Develop and maintain dashboards using data analysis tools to enhance reporting and visibility. Assist in preparing presentation materials and monthly reports for management and the Board of Trustees. Collaborate with accounting team to complete monthly journal entries and close activities. This job description excludes marginal functions that are incidental to performing the job. Other duties may exist.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting or a related field and eight (8) years of related experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of education on a year-for-year basis up to four years.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Governmental accounting, transit and Infor experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of principles, practices, and methods of GAAP, GASB, and the FTA including National Transit Database (NTD) reporting and the Uniform System of Accounts (USOA). Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, principles, and practices. Experience with ERP systems including implementation, management, and optimization. Must have exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities with a knack for identifying trends and insights into financial data. Proven ability to analyze and improve business processes to enhance operational efficiency. Must be proficient in financial analysis tools and reporting software (e.g. Excel, SQL, Power BI) as well as data visualization tools. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders. Must have strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and documentation. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and personnel at all levels of the organization. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive data. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to perform all the physical requirements of the position, with or without accommodations. Key physical requirements include occasional light lifting (up to 10 to 20 pounds, such as lifting files computer printouts and books) and ability to sit for long periods of time and have full use of hands and arms as required to use calculator and computer keyboard.

WORK ENVIRONMENTS: Works in normal office environment. Work involves deadlines and multiple priorities.
