We are seeking to hire candidates for our Emergency Preparedness Specialist (9277).

Salary Range: $82,342.00-$102,908.00      

OVERALL DESCRIPTION

The Emergency Preparedness Specialist is responsible for supporting the Director of Emergency Management in the design, development, and execution of emergency preparedness initiatives. The incumbent develops, maintains, and enhances emergency plans, policies, and procedures to strengthen organizational readiness and resilience. The incumbent also supports the education and training of SEPTA employees, contractors, and jurisdictional emergency response agencies on how to respond safely during emergencies involving SEPTA assets. Additionally, the incumbent will support SEPTA preparedness training and exercises in conjunction with the System Safety Division. The incumbent works well under pressure, is highly organized, and is an effective communicator. The specialist has extensive technical knowledge and applied experience in emergency management in complex operational environments, preferably in regional transit systems. The incumbent must communicate effectively with all levels of SEPTA staff and jurisdictional emergency response agencies.
