Roles and Responsibilities: Clean New Jersey Transit’s railcars (exterior and interior) and components thoroughly Clean work areas around railcars and at New Jersey Transit’s properties as assigned Read and follow instructions and safety information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned tasks Provide exceptional customer service Maintain a safe and clean work environment Education, Experience & Qualifications: Pass NJ Transit’s Aptitude Test. Work effectively in all weather conditions. Demonstrate the ability to communicate well with others at all levels. Possess the ability to adapt in a changing environment. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Work as a team member and independently. Successfully pass background, drug screening and physical. Present a valid high school diploma or GED.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills: Prior warehouse or shipping/receiving experience. Prior operation of forklift and/or other heavy equipment. Prior experience with heavy labor. Mechanically inclined.
