POSITION SUMMARY:

COTA's Project Manager, IT Construction performs highly responsible and technical work providing information technology guidance and support on construction projects. This position oversees the effective delivery of construction projects ensuring information technology needs, including networking and infrastructure support mechanisms are considered and integrated into construction projects.

Performs duties that advance COTA's Strategic Plan and reflect the organization's core values of safety, empowerment, accountability, teamwork, and service, and support the mission of Moving Every Life Forward.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Serves as the Information Technology liaison for internal COTA construction team, Innovation and Technology division, third-party construction agencies and construction technology partners; build and maintain professional working relationships with COTA Construction Services, COTA IT, and third-party construction partners;

Develops and implements departmental policies, procedures, and standards to be applied towards the design, selection, integration and implementation of information technology projects;

Monitor construction project scope, schedules, deliverables, risks, and issues to identify where/how/when and what Innovation and Technology resources are needed to fulfill project goals, deliverables and expectations;

Identify IT specific needs/requirements on a portfolio of construction projects;

Facilitate the procurement of required technology for a particular construction project, including working with Innovation & Technology leadership to identify preferred solutions/designs, identifying the equipment required and insuring the procurement lifecycle of the equipment;

Manage the Technology timelines and allocation of resources to accomplish the work; and,

Coordinate the prioritization, activation and coordination of Innovation and Technology resources.

Attend weekly construction project OACMs (Owner, Architect, Contractor Meetings) and report back to COTA IT on any additional COTA IT resources needed for the project;

Keeps leadership team informed of all situations relating to or impacting successful completion of information technology projects;

Acts as Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager for projects to ensure the third-party contractor performs work at a quality level that meets COTA's requirements;

Identify and raise risks/issues to Innovation and Technology leadership and COTA Construction team leadership; and,

Provide ongoing status reporting to Innovation & Technology, Construction leadership and project stakeholders that includes scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables, resources, risks, issues and decision tracking; utilize standardized reporting (COTA PMO Standards) for all tracking and reporting in Acuity PPM to facilitate all PM activity, including project definition, project documentation and project status reporting.

Provide documentation and training during construction completion as needed to the Innovation and Technology Team; and,

Review design drawings for compliance with COTA IT standards.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, computer science, or related field and six (6) years' experience managing IT related deliverables in partnership and coordination with construction partners.

Experience managing an array of complex projects required, specifically construction project experience, preferred.

Experience with technology, network deployment and configuration, endpoint management, cyber security and system administration experience desired.
